Submitting yourself for film and television has never been easier. But is your self-tape game a little lacking? Come join the conversation as we take a look at industry standards for audition materials (headshots, resumes & self-tapes) and talk about tips to help each other succeed in the highly-competitive — and highly fun! — world of professional acting.
Taught by casting director Kendall Cooper (AMC, Hulu) and producer, actor, and former Acting Lecturer Ian Carlsen, this course is designed for actors of all levels from beginner to old pro. Meeting industry standards can make or break an audition, so come learn how to best present yourself and make sure your tape gets seen by your favorite directors!

MEET THE PRESENTERS
Kendall Cooper is an actor turned casting director based in Portland, ME. She recently cast Season 1 and 2 of HULU’s Documentary True Crime series WILD CRIME as well as two SAG Independent features filmed in Maine (The Ghost Trap, Heightened). Kendall regularly works in New England and the Mid-Atlantic region casting extras. Previous credits include: Hocus Pocus 2, Madame Web, Little Women, Dopesick, Defending Jacob, Homeland and more. She is also the resident casting director and co-producer of the Portland Theater Festival.
Ian Carlsen is a film and commercial producer who is proud to live and work in Maine. He has over a decade of experience in the New England film market as both an actor and producer. He is a former Lecturer in Acting at University of Southern Maine, where he specialized in teaching auditioning for the camera. He has many, many self-tapes, some good, some very, very bad. His television credits include NOS4A2 (AMC).
