Maine Film Association Cancellation Policy for Workshops, Courses & Events

Maine Film Association (MFA) reserves the right to refuse/cancel a registration or event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the registration or event nonviable. Workshops will be cancelled 5 days prior to the event if there is low enrollment at that time. Should circumstances arise (weather, instructor illness, etc.) that result in the postponement of a registration or event, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer the registration to the same workshop/event at the new future date.

Registration Cancellation by Participant

Registrants for MFA events may cancel their registration 30 days prior to the date of the event and receive a full refund. The attendee must process the refund through the Eventbrite account through which the registration was purchased.

Cancellations within 30 days of the event are not eligible for a refund.

MFA Members who can no longer attend an event due to illness or emergency circumstances may request a transfer of that event registration to another person, or credit to be used towards MFA membership or registration for another event. Requests for transfer or credit must be emailed to info@mainefilm.org no later than 3 hours before the beginning of the event. Requests for transfer of registration or credit should include the reason for cancellation, and will be reviewed for approval. If credit is granted, the credit must be used within 6 months of the original event date towards MFA Membership or event registration.

The MFA is not responsible for the inability of any participant to participate due to issues beyond our control.
