Making It in Maine: Tips, Tricks, Trials, and Tribulations from Maine’s Next-Gen Filmmakers

Join the MFA and some of Maine’s most celebrated Next-Gen filmmakers for a unique opportunity to pick up production tips and advice from professional writers, directors, and producers.

As a filmmaker, you will gain invaluable insights from the first-hand, in-the-field movie-making experience of industry professionals. Working in a variety of genres, including feature film, feature documentary, short film, short documentary and commercials, this dynamic panel of film professionals will share their work along with  lessons learned, best practices, and some of the “do’s and don’t’s” unique to filming in Maine.

The filmmaker panel will be followed by a moderated Q&A and MFA networking opportunity.

Moderated by Eric Mofford, and hosted by Tom Handel, co-chair of the Maine Film Association and executive director of the Portland Media Center
