MFA Seeks Board Members!

MFA is looking for volunteers to join its Board of Directors and contribute their time, skills, and talents to our work! The MFA Board plans and executes all of the organization's events and initiatives as it serves as the voice of the Maine film and production community.

We need leaders willing to roll up their sleeves in the name of connecting our community, helping to grow and showcase the industry, and advocating on its behalf. Interested? Complete this form (linked and below) to express interest in joining the board, and we'll follow up with you to learn more!

What does being an MFA Board member entail?

  • A volunteer position on an active, working Board of Directors — each Board member volunteers 5+ hours/month to help with the organization's operations, programs, and governance.

  • Average of 1 hour of board meetings/month (virtual conferencing).

  • Active participation on at least one MFA team (Events, Advocacy, Membership/ Engagement) by attending team virtual meetings and serving as a lead organizer for projects, as appropriate. 

  • Fulfillment of solo work between  meetings to advance initiatives and projects.

  • Representing the MFA at MFA gatherings and other film events, to local and state leaders, to fellow organizations, and more!

MFA Board Members reside throughout Maine, and can be actively involved via virtual platforms. Once you complete the form, we'll follow up for a conversation and to address any questions you may have!
