Celebrate Maine summers with Maine Movies on the Prom! The Maine Film Association (MFA) and Friends of the Eastern Prom have teamed up to bring a summer series of outdoor film screenings the last Saturday of each month to one of Maine's most palatial locales: Portland's Eastern Promenade.
In July we'll enjoy a timeless Maine tale: STAND BY ME, the 1986 American coming-of-age film directed by Rob Reiner and starring Wil Wheaton, River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, and Jerry O'Connell (in his debut film.) The film is based on Stephen King's 1982 novella The Body. Rated R.
The Maine Movies on the Prom series is hosted by the Friends of Eastern Promenade, produced by the Maine Film Association with technical support from No Umbrella Media, and sponsored by Three Rivers Whitewater.
