The Future of Film in New England Regional Strategy Session |
|
|
On Sept. 20, filmmakers, community foundations, industry representatives, and regional partners from across New England came together at CIFF in a strategy session exploring what filmmakers need to make and sustain ambitious work in the region. MFA was delighted to help convene and participate in the session. Discussion topics included collective organizing opportunities around funding, production infrastructure, and emerging policy and grassroots advocacy strategies to identify where working together could help move the field forward. As Maine’s only French-language film festival, Festival Champlain will feature films from France, Canada, Tunisia, and Gabon, all to be screened at the Portland Museum of Art from October 15-18.
